Slow speeds (last 2-3 weeks) -- what to do? what are my option?

My team and I have been having a hard time with ragic – and overall slow latency / loading speeds.

we used to be able to copy paste. move much quicker… we have not made dramatic changes… it feels systemic across all of our pages…

  1. Is there a way to audit this? Can i pay money to make this faster?
  2. Does increasing to “enterprise” help this? Like a dedicate server?
  3. Can anyone like @jeff_kuo explain the correlation between say (50+ users) and the form settings like (recalculate all formulas on related/parent sheets) and the overall speed of the database for all users?
  4. Does multiple (clones) pages running many calculated fields bog it down?

I’m slowly getting desperate — help :slight_smile: what can we do? what options do i have?

1. Is there a way to audit this? Can I pay to make this faster?
Performance issues can result from many factors — it’s not always infrastructure-related. While we don’t provide different levels of support based on plan tiers, we’re happy to investigate thoroughly. Please include the following in your email to us:

  • A specific example of where you’re seeing the slowdown (e.g. bulk edits, filtering).
  • The URL(s) of the relevant form(s).
  • Approximate time(s) the issue occurred.
  • Any error messages or screenshots, if available.
  • Also, let us know if there have been any major changes or increased activity in recent weeks — such as added workflows (JavaScript), frequent bulk edits, or other operations that may put higher load on the system.

2. Will upgrading to Enterprise or a dedicated server help?
A dedicated server can help in some rare cases, but it’s unlikely the root cause of systemic latency. If our investigation indicates it’s a server-related issue, we’ll absolutely explore appropriate options with you — including an Enterprise upgrade if applicable.

3. Is there a correlation between user volume (50+) and form settings like “recalculate all formulas on related/parent sheets”?
While complex recalculation settings can affect performance, user volume alone is usually not a key factor. We’d need to take a closer look at how your forms and workflows are structured to see if these settings may be contributing to the issue.

4. Do multiple cloned pages with many calculated fields slow things down?
In general, large numbers of calculated fields shouldn’t impact routine activities — such as viewing a record. That said, it depends on how those cloned pages and formulas are implemented. We’d need more context around what you mean by “multiple cloned pages with many calculated fields” to determine if that’s playing a role.
