I was wondering if any had or knew how to make a rental system with a list of tools than can be rented out. And availability shown on a Callander.
Thanks again.
Hello @alanfallow Alan -
I hope you are well. In general, a Rental System is not difficult to create, in Ragic. It needs some work to be done, and some careful design-thinking, but it is doable. If your question refers to IF there is already any ready template for rentals similar to what you describe, I think there is not, though I am not 100% sure.
Are you already registered in Ragic? Are you an old user? In case you would like to discuss your case further, let me know, in here or you can also fins me at aias.aiascon@gmail.com.
Best Regards
Ilias
Hi yes I used ragic a while back but not very well. I am not bad with sheets and tables etc.
Have you considered if there is any specific aspect of Ragic that I could help with or If you need any assistance on the Rental system thing you mentioned as a whole?
Let me know.![]()
Well most of it really I know I would need a table with stock and probably a table for customers and a form for rental and try and integrate a Callander.
@alanfallow
Yes indeed, in terms of sheets, those are the basics you need.
Yet, the main thing to consider is the process that your organisation follows.
When someone needs to rent a tool, what is the process he/she must follow to rent the tool or part or whatever.
And that process you must simulate it with actions and sheets and the proper data recorded in your Ragic project.
It is not that simple, it is not difficult, but it is not simple.
Hi there,
I’d like to echo IliasVlachosT’s point—while we don’t have a specific “Rental Management” template yet, Ragic is flexible enough to build one quite easily.
A great shortcut is using the Meeting Room Manager template. It’s already designed to track object reservations and display availability in a calendar view. You can simply repurpose the Venues sheet to list your tools instead.
If you need a hand tailoring the fields to your specific workflow, this guide on modifying templates is a perfect place to start.
Hope this helps you get your system up and running!
