Dear Raigc Team/Development Group,
I would like to request a new feature that allows us to refer to a field ID rather than a cell location in formulas.
Currently, our formulas are dependent on specific cell locations. This dependency can lead to issues when the field location changes, especially on the listing page. When fields are moved or rearranged, we often need to update the formulas manually to reflect these changes, which can be time-consuming and error-prone.
This feature would be a valuable addition and help streamline our data management processes. I appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to any feedback or discussion on this proposal.
Thank you for your time and support!
The cell location in the Formula is updated automatically only in Form view.
In List view, I found that it doesn’t update automatically if you use “Listing Page Field Picker”,
but it will update the location if you “drag” the column directly.
Dragging the column is not very convenient as it will not update the field width.
So I think it’s upto the Ragic team to see if it’s possible to implement “cell location udpate” when the field location is changed through “Listing Page Field Picker” instead of dragging directly.
Yeah, it doesn’t, and I found out that when you remove fields from the From Page without removing those fields from the Listing Page first. The cell location in the formula on the Listing is not updated automatically. I will have to update them manually.
