In some situations I need to show that a record is linked to multiple physical locations which I would like to show on the same map. Is there a way to do this? I have tried separating the co-ordinates of the places with a semicolon (;), a comma (,), and a blank space - none of which work…

Sorry, at the moment system is not able to process multiple locations in a single Address field.
You could try adding new address fields into your sheet and select the feature to display it on the map. Or you could also try Address Mapping report type, however this will show all of the locations of all records.
