Make the subform number of record adjustable by command button

Can you make a button in the main page with the number of records to be displayed on the sublist, maybe defaulted at 100.
We have several sublist with thousands of records that are unusable because of the long loading times.
A row-per-sublist button, similar to the row-per-page button would probably fix the issue, I would position the button between the previous-page and the next-page button.
