My current sheet involves data entry where some of the cell values repeat the value in the previous row. I’m drawing a blank on how to default a cell value to the cell value in the previous row so the user is not retyping the same thing over and over? Thanks!

It is currently not supported to use formulas on a subtable to get a field value from a previous subtable entry. This feature request has been submitted to our developers and we’ll get back to you when we have more details about it.
Can you suggest a workaround to save data entry time? Currently the only way I can think of is to make the fields select fields and allow users to add values so they can at least benefit from auto complete while entering more rows.

I think that would be the best workaround for now.
I have to do this quite often. What our workaround is, select the field above then click the square in bottom right of the field and drag down. (like in excel) This will pull the data from above to below.
