Why has the field picker suddenly disappeared?
I finally added a sub-table and can no longer get the field picker, are they related?
Is there a keyboard shortcut to call it up?

From what you described, it sounds like it’s a reference subtable. The field picker is displayed when you initially adds the reference subtable. You can call it up again following by editing the subtable described here.
