Reports are very usefull, but they can just show in a different way what is already in a table. This is limitting some of the functionality expected in tools like a Gantt or a Calendar.
Gantt charts are normally used for planning dynamically, i.e. changing graphically task durations, dates and precedences and this is modified automatically in the corresponding table.
I made a prevous feature request in the same direction for Calendar report. One expects to be able to dinamically move tasks from one date to the other and one task before the other within the same day. It seems this is in the route map already!

Thank you for your suggestion. This is indeed quite a bit of work, I will let our development team take this into consideration.
We would also like to see this functionality implemented. Currently we are taking the data outside the system to conduct our resource planning
